Wendy McGuinness is the founder and chief executive of the McGuinness Institute Te Hononga Waka. The Institute is a non-partisan think tank working towards a sustainable future for Aotearoa New Zealand using the tools of hindsight, insight and foresight. Wendy has worked in both the public and private sectors specialising in public sector reporting, risk management and future studies. The Institute has consistently produced work and held workshops within the climate space. This year, the Institute's climate-related work is focused on strengthening strategic capability to support: the Emissions Reduction Plan, the implementation of the TCFD, the development of climate reference scenarios, and ultimately, the development of a climate change strategy for Aotearoa New Zealand.
