James leads the Sustainable Opportunities team at Simply Energy, responsible for supporting our commercial and industrial customers to transition to a low carbon future. James has a mechanical engineering background and is passionate about new and innovative technologies and energy solutions that help organisations to achieve their emission reduction goals. James’ current focus includes growing Simply’s demand flexibility offering, rolling out the Sapient smart plug solution for customers and promoting the displacement of fossil fuel usage in New Zealand through electrification - notably process heat and transport. Prior to Simply, James worked in the UK as a Commercial Lead for Rolls-Royce and more recently as an Energy Consultant for the global consulting firm Anthesis, helping organisations with their energy strategy - identifying and implementing energy efficiency projects.
